SUZUKI MUSIC ACADEMY CHILDREN PERFORMERS |

Children musicians from the Academy have appeared
as soloists with local orchestras and have performed in concert halls,
libraries, festivals, and cultural events throughout South Florida.
Academy children performers appear at events for a great number of South Florida cultural and community organizations, including the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, the Museum of Art, the World Trade Center, the Broward Art Guild, Young at Arts, the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and art and music festivals throughout the South Florida region. |

In December of 1997, Academy students performed at the event aboard the "S.S. NORWAY" that welcomed the newly appointed French Consul General to the US, and in April 1998, they were featured performers at the "2nd Annual International Mayoral Gala", held at Ft. Lauderdale's Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel, that hosted mayors and city officials from throughout the world. The Academy and its students have appeared on local and national television and featured in numerous published articles. The children musicians frequently represent the City of Ft. Lauderdale at diplomatic functions and appear at special events and ceremonies for the consulates and embassies from various countries, including the countries of Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, France, and Italy. They have also joined with Japanese Consulate in Miami for a program in the public schools. In
2000 and in 2003,
Academy students
joined with the children violinists members of Myizaki,
Japan's Ishikawa Institute
for tours of the US.
