The
recent much-publicized "Mozart Effect" and current
research into the causal relationship between classical music
and brain functionality has given rise to a new awareness of the
benefits of classical music exposure and study. The Suzuki Music
Academy is the home of the original classical music program
designed for expectant parents and for parents of infants and
toddlers: *Classical Music from Age Zero* TM
While children as young as two to two-and-a-half years old can be ready for formal classical music instruction, children under two years old can be enriched by the early exposure to classical music and, with proper training, can develop skills that prepare them for subsequent formal classical music study. Children given this kind of preparatory training can more easily learn to play classical music naturally and with fluency. The program's curriculum is designed to give parents of newborn infants and toddlers skills, practical strategies and techniques for maximizing the benefits children can receive from classical music exposure and study. |
