Southwest Strings is another mail-order resource, much like SHAR, that you can use: Southwest Stringed Instruments, Inc:  1-800-528-3430. The service and prices from Southwest Strings are comparable, but catalogue numbers will differ from SHAR's. 

We recommend that you phone your order to SHAR or Southwest Strings: 

- For the recordings, confirm that recordings are by the performers indicated above,
- Confirm that the recording is in CD format,
- Confirm prices (probably subject to small changes),
-Ask when order will be shipped and when you should receive the order (should be 5-10 workdays),
- Ask what the cost of shipping will be and/or shipping options.  

The above recommended materials are not available from all local band instruments or other local retail stores. You may be able to obtain the CD recordings and/or sheet music from the local Sam Ash or other music stores, but we usually opt for the convenience of mail-order services. If you do want use a local retail store, phone the local store to see if what you need is currently in stock. If not in stock, ordering from SHAR or Southwest Strings will get you the materials more quickly than music stores that need to special order these. Phone ahead to save you time and travel.
